While Bianca guided Janneke in her work on the guest room floor on the Tuesday morning, Maurice and Jacqueline walked to Sjaak and Lisa's house. From a distance they heard violin playing, a melody and way of playing in which they tasted a longing, a melody that whipped up for more, for higher.
They looked at each other. "This seems to be a right timing thingy..." murmured Maurice, "or I must be very misjudging it."
The music ended with a few hefty strokes of the bow on a high note.
"Wow, powerful lady! Sjaak and Lisa had those clips on the site hey, I liked those too, but by the feel of it, this is even stronger," Jacqueline said. "Shall we ring the bell over there?"
That already proved unnecessary, as Lisa had put away her violin and bow and had walked to the living room, from where she saw them arrive. She waved and walked to the front door.
"By the looks of it, you guys are coming straight to our front door!" laughed Lisa. "I don't have to wonder who you are, I recognise Karel... Are you coming to join me for a cup of coffee?"
She preceded them to the living room.
"What a lovely atmosphere here, as bright as in the guesthouse," Jacqueline felt. "And what do I see, a lovely little fellow in the playpen. Can he get out?"
"Yes, by all means, William won't object to that! I'll fetch coffee in the meantime."
Jacqueline extended her hands to William: "Would you like to get out, William?"
He looked at her thoughtfully, stretched out his arms and allowed himself to be picked up.
"He's younger than Julian, don't you think?" asked Maurice.
"Yes, absolutely. Roughly half a year younger."
Jacqueline and William looked at each other, sternly but kindly from both sides. Lisa felt, as she came in with the coffee, that it looked like they were examining each other, assessing who the other was.
"Paper and a pencil, that's it, William, just like me. I like drawing, and so do you, you're going to draw too. I draw living things, you're going to draw buildings. You have it all together, you can see it all before you, but your little body can't handle actually drawing yet. You are going to make designs of incredible houses. And even though most of them are never going to be built, your designs are going to touch people, fascinate them, awaken desires for possibilities. You are going to create a design for two young women, soulmates, a painter and a writer. A beautiful design William, wonderful, how happy those girls will be with it! And then that gallery, hahaha, it looks like the Tower of Babel, like in those paintings. It grows around, like a snake crawling up in circles. Yes, I see what you see, but what your hand cannot yet draw. That building, they are all spaces, spaces in the shape of hexagons, they go from space to space and up a little bit each time and then there will be a space that will be built above the first space and so on and on and on. The more artworks are going to fit in that gallery, the more spaces can be built to it. What a magnificent design you have ready in your soul for that..."
Jacqueline and William continued to look at each other, silent... until William dropped forward against her shoulder.
"So, he's full, loaded to the max. An artist to the core, an extraordinary artist..." she said smiling at Lisa. "What does this do to you?"
"A lot," Lisa said with a sob. "You confirm with this so blatantly the image I got the day I found out I was pregnant. I remember it like yesterday." Dreamily, with tears in her eyes, she stared past Jacqueline. "I had actually never had such impressions before. I went to Margreet to tell her I was pregnant, and asked her to tell me about her discovery of her pregnancy a few months before. I already knew the story though, but I so wanted to hear it again. And so suddenly I saw before me that my son, so William, would start drawing special buildings. I didn't see the house for the two women, but that gallery, as you described it, looked suspiciously familiar, I saw it then too... Boy, this really touched me. He's only so small, but so the sketches are already hidden in his soul."
"Yes, basically, it could be that while he is drawing, his soul is still going to adjust things, that not everything is visible now. Or it's just not visible to us, that's also possible, of course."
Lisa smiled and nodded, "I sense what you mean, although I can't understand it with my mind yet."
"Too much is still in the way for that, Lisa, you've been through a lot, a lot has thundered over you, people have rolled over you like you were worth nothing. And that has created a lot of clutter around your soul. I am glad you found your soulmate, he has already cleared a lot of debris together with you, but you may assume that there is still a lot to be cleared. This may feel like a grim idea now, and in a way it is, but you know... Maurice, will you put this sleeping little fellow back in the playpen? I don't want any accidents... yesterday I collapsed while talking and my soul was radiating. I don't mind if that happens again, but rather not with your beautiful son in my hands. Just back, where were we, oh yes, about your woundings, that it's still so much. That's a terrible idea, but we have just been listening to you play the violin and, on the one hand, we already tasted a lot of freedom and strength in it, but on the other hand, an enormous desire for more, for greater height in your playing. Do you recognise that feeling, as I describe it like this?" asked Jacqueline.
"Yes, that's exactly how it was, that was exactly what I felt when I played. I want so much to be able to give my all fully, and sometimes I succeed quite well, but I feel it's never a hundred per cent."
"That's right, it's already a high percentage, but not a hundred yet. I'm happy for you that at least your soul is already able to do so much through your music. That part seems to have remained fairly intact, but could use a polish," Jacqueline joked. "Anyway, with every scoop of mess that gets cleaned up, you become even more yourself. And I think that's very important especially for your relationships. You'll notice it in music-making too, but especially in your relationships. No, I'm not saying your relationships are bad now, that's not the point, not about right or wrong..."
She paused for a moment as Lisa laughed a little.
"Recognisable?"
"Yes, Sjaak explained that to me in the beginning, that there is no right or wrong, Huib and Margreet confirmed that. Margreet desperately needed that in the beginning too. Our society is stuck in that right-wrong thinking and with it we cause each other guilt and shame. Anyway, tell more, about my relationships..."
Maurice smiled, tasting her hunger, her desire to heal and live fully.
"Because of your woundedness, you still partly live by the rules and ways you picked up in the past, from an early age. In addition, you have your self-image, which is not yet optimal, which partly holds you back from living from your soul, but instead react from pain, defend yourself, even if deep inside you already feel a little that it is not necessary. Those hooks are stuck, holding you lower than you would like. Those hooks are going to come off, especially those hooks that tell you that you specifically as a woman are worthless, that you would be an object of lust and a Cinderella slave. You're not, you're a particularly fiery woman, and that's eventually going to bounce off in your music, and empower your lovers and many others around you, setting them on fire. I was actually used to explaining things like pebbles in the pond. When I throw a pebble into the water, it causes those ripples all around. The power of the pebble reaches others. With you, it's not a pebble, it's sparks, and they become immense sparks, sparks that scorch wounds in other people and awaken souls to full life. But now those hooks are still in the way, those hooks that you would be an object of lust and a slave... those hooks are loosening, piece by piece, they are disappearing, all of them..."
She kept looking at Lisa, and Lisa stared at her, as her eyes widened and her mouth dropped open. Maurice watched them both, saw that Lisa was breathing in slowly but very deeply, as if sucking in Jacqueline's power. It continued, until Jacqueline closed her eyes and went limp in the sofa. Lisa didn't seem to notice, her eyes were now dreamy, as if she was staring right through Jacqueline. But she continued to absorb power, until she too lowered herself back into her chair. She was still clearly aware of what was happening, while Jacqueline no longer seemed to notice anything. Maurice focused on Jacqueline, put his hand on her belly.
"Yes..." she whispered, "that feels good, I'll be back! I was still there though, I heard Lisa taking very deep breaths, but my body couldn't take it anymore for a while. I need you desperately Maurice, to regain my strength. I could do it without you, but I think it would take much more time. It's nice that we get to do this together."
Slowly, as if only half awake, she opened her eyes and looked at Lisa with a tilted head. "What do you think, Maurice, are those hooks loose?"
"If that hasn't happened, then I don't know anymore. What hook would manage to withstand that much power?"
She smiled. "I think this is intense, but I am so happy about it. I feel every time, this is what I have longed for for so many years. I always wanted people to heal, to become who they really are, powerful, fiery, creative, bright, you name it. And now it's happening. It's as if my soul has been calling all these years, trying to wake me up, to show me that there was so much nonsense in my life, when there was so much waiting for me that my longing was for. We are going to live out our desires more and more Maurice, in this, and in our painting and drawing..."
He smiled at her, "So beautiful, Jackie, so beautiful..."
Meanwhile, Lisa stood up a little. "Would you like some more coffee?"
Maurice shot into a roaring laugh, while Jacqueline looked at her with a broad smile. "So that's another thing, something that was fixed, but it's going to come loose, or it's already loose, I have the impression. But you are not immediately rid of your old habits. Doesn't matter, that will come, that will work itself out. No girl, I long for only one thing, to hear from you what you experienced. Can you tell?"
Lisa grinned: "Well, it was a bit like a trip, I've never experienced that before though, I've never taken drugs, but going by the stories about it... yes, it was a bit like that. I felt things coming loose in my whole body and sometimes pulling away like threads through my body. And I started feeling more and more floaty, everything in my body had to find a new place, because those lines and hooks that had held everything in place had left. It was very intense, very special, and I feel very light now, in a good sense, like a burden has been lifted off me. Do you know what I feel like doing now?"
Her guests looked at her questioningly.
"Playing the violin, but do you think... ha, that's another one of those, one of those things that shouldn't be, I recognise it now. I'm not supposed to play the violin now while I have visitors..." Lisa thought for a moment. "On the other hand, I don't want to start playing while you guys... hahaha I was going to say, 'while you might not like that at all', but in my opinion, tell me honestly if it's not true, you love it when I play for a while more. Is that right?"
"Totally, live it up, young lady!" laughed Maurice.
Lisa stood up and picked up her violin and bow. She strained the hairs of the bow, listened for a moment to the melody bubbling up in her mind, and began to play. Slowly at first, melodramatically, evoking feelings that came and grew from deep and far away... until it burst into a raging waterfall that flowed into a river, a river that flowed between mountains in wave movements, splashing water in all sorts of places.
Jacqueline and Maurice sat relaxed in the bank and allowed themselves to be carried away. It was clear to Sjaak, who had come in softly, that their female guest was emotionally stronger than her husband. She came loose from the backrest and let her body sway to the music.
He felt, Lisa's music was different, stronger. His mind tended to dismiss it with 'it just seems that way', but he felt it deep down. He sneaked past her and sat down behind the piano, letting his soul drift along to her music and started playing along, lapping along, splashing along. He realised somewhere deep in the background, that her playing, the power of her playing, was influencing his own playing. He felt vaguely, with a slight sense of wonder, that he was going deeper than before.
Lisa finished with an outlet into the sea, great strokes of her bow, as if to indicate that the water could flow in all directions.
She opened her eyes and watched as Jacqueline was still fully in the mood of the music, saying, "Thank you, this was so powerful, you made me refuel all over again!"
And to Sjaak. "You must be Sjaak... what a great bunch of musicians you are! And a great pair of soulmates... boy, as you started playing along, I felt the sparks jump, first from Lisa to you, but then they went both ways. You reinforce each other in your music, and through your music. Genius! Really great to be able to witness that. It might be handy for you to know Sjaak, my name is Jacqueline, and my dear husband's name is Maurice. So, now all the critters have a name again!"
Lisa put her violin away, relaxed her bow and put it with the violin.
"Lisa, I have another question for you," Maurice said, "but I suspect we could use some of that tasty lubricating water with that. Lubricating water, I mean coffee to lubricate our throats, so no dirty water. May I take the liberty of asking you for that?"
Lisa beamed! "You know Maurice, if you had done that to me yesterday, I would have felt guilty and ashamed as hell. And now it only comes along briefly as a thought, but has absolutely no depth, no impact. Are those hooks loose or not then?"
Maurice and Jacqueline laughed, delighted at her discovery. "Sjaak, walk with her right away, so she can tell you what happened in the meantime."
And she did! Sjaak enjoyed the stories, enjoyed the affirmations that had flowed from Jacqueline's words for William and Lisa. "And now I'm curious to know what Maurice wanted to ask. They are Karel's parents, aren't they? Karel looks a lot like his father externally, and goes after his mother in terms of intensity. Oh well, she must be dragging his father along too, what great interactions huh?"
"Yes, wonderful, I'm so glad they came, I feel so much lighter and freer! It really feels now like I will be able to handle all the pieces of process to come just fine!"
Because by now they were walking to the room with the coffee, their guests heard what she said, and Maurice responded, "That will be much better now too, faster and deeper. I was just thinking about that. We are here for a reason this week. You from Bloemenhof and us, we reinforce each other, help each other along. There seems to be an acceleration, like the one we heard in the river of your music. That would mean, that the power of our souls is also spreading stronger and faster across the earth... I am curious to see what we will notice in the coming months."
"So then it's true after all, that it's happening worldwide?" asked Lisa. "Sjaak and Huib say so too, and the judge who helped me with my court cases even experiences it very strongly..."
"Oh really? That's cool! That's what my question was about, by the way, about those court cases, and The Shelter. Would you mind telling us more about that?"
Lisa smiled. "Yes, it has been a very intense time, but I can now see it as the beginning of something new, both for myself, and for The Shelter, and also for that judge."
Lisa recounted, how she had discovered what had been going on around rituals apart from prostitution, recounted the court cases, in which so much power was palpable, that all five defendants, separate from each other, and knowing nothing of each other came to the conviction that this should never have happened. She told how Johan had dealt with it and how the atmosphere in that court had changed. The brief interview with the journalists, and later an interview by one journalist with Johan, the judge, an interview that had triggered so much, worldwide, that the general secretary, Marianne, had to be appointed as Johan's personal secretary.
"She has a full-time job on that, on the correspondence around questions about how that works, judging from your soul, while also dealing with laws and rules. So in that sense, it's clear that something is going on globally."
She talked about the construction and setting up of The Shelter, how she herself had dealt with it, organisationally, how they had been helped by all kinds of people, right down to a thrift shop employee.
"And, as soon as the central living room and the first cottage were completely finished, the phone rang, Ellen, my lawyer, she was looking for living space for a young woman, and asked when we had space... Well, right away tomorrow morning! Yes, that was cool! The first four women grew closer through their shared wounding and pieces of healing from it. They eventually bought or rented a house via Karel, and they moved in together. To me, it feels like a logical continuation of The Shelter. Meanwhile, the second group of four women have also moved on. Two women live nearby, one of them working at the Discovery Centre, the other mainly working at home for the gallery's website. Just by the way... that Discovery Centre, and also the Soul Print Shop are two places you should maybe visit too. Well, should, but it would do them good. They are two 'projects' with which we are closely connected. You know, it often feels like Bloemenhof is a kind of basic spring, a volcano, from which streams come that go to other groups of people. That's how the gallery was born, still digital now, but when William finishes his drawing... then they can start building! The power from here also had a great influence in the courtroom, an amplifying effect because we all went there, so really just like what we are experiencing with you now. From here, The Shelter was born, and the Discovery Centre and the Soul Print Shop were born on their own on the one hand, and yet they also have close ties here. Well, think about it, whether you would want to go there."
"Anyway, I'll put them in a note, and that judge too, I have a very strong impression that we should call and visit him, maybe on Saturday, on the way home?" asked Maurice to Jacqueline. She nodded.
"Where was I... oh yes, that second group of women, two live and work so close to here, the other two have bought, also through Karel, a beautiful, large villa in a village down the road. A huge space... and what's special, they turned out to be soulmates after going through pieces of the process."
"Katja and Maureen?"
"Do you know them?" asked Lisa in surprise.
"Yes, know them in the sense that we felt there was a real connection. We went there last weekend, to pick up the 'Wedding Dress' from Maureen's candle wax. Was funny, by the way, they gave us a tour. Karel and Bianca were also there with Julian."
Maurice fondly recounted the discovery Karel had made, and that he had secretly bought the 'Radiant Woman'.
"Ah, exactly who Bianca is," Sjaak said, "she is a radiant woman, but also so broken. Just like Lisa, I saw from the beginning how fiery she was, inside, but that she was also still so wounded."
"True, and it is so precious when a woman who is broken finds a man like you, or like Karel, who can see beyond that crust of emotional woundedness," Jacqueline responded.
Lisa nodded, looking at Sjaak beaming: "You bet I hit it with you Sjaak! A word about The Shelter. Four women now live there again. One of them, Cynthia, recently started working at the Soul Print Shop. A second, Janneke, got a workplace in the guesthouse through Bianca. And the other two ladies are definitely not ready for that yet. If you guys are up for a visit there too...?"
Maurice laughed: "Jacqueline already got crazy on Janneke yesterday, pretty much in the same style as she just did with you. That was the first time for us, by the way, that it was so fierce, so powerful. I'll write The Shelter in as well, then we'll just have to see what's possible."
"Where our souls lead us..." complemented Jacqueline.
"Exactly dear, let's follow that rascal and we'll get where we need to be! All right, the court cases and The Shelter, do you want to say more about that?"
"No, I wouldn't know so..."
"I think it's so beautiful to see how Bloemenhof has thrown a stone in the pond, or something else, doesn't matter, and that apparently there are all kinds of lines, or water waves running from here to other groups of people," Jacqueline said. "Can you give the addresses or phone numbers of that judge, and of that Discovery Centre and the Soul Print Shop? That name alone huh, Soul Print Shop. They print books that are palpably written from the soul surely? Oh wait, those photo books of Koos and Olivia, are they from there too?"
"Yes, that's right, so you know those too, those books?"
"Oh yes," Jacqueline responded, as Maurice took over the details Sjaak was handing him, "Karel and Bianca had gotten both of those photo books from them, and we sat browsing through them, and both got a desire to become much freer in our painting and drawing. Maurice paints and I draw with grey pencils. We always did that very precisely, true to nature, and through those photo books we both got a huge desire to become freer in it. We bought stuff here in the village so we could paint and draw too this week, and we used that stuff for the first time yesterday afternoon. We enjoyed it, didn't we Maurice?"
"Oh yes, you bet! It did feel odd, having finished a painting in an hour, where otherwise it would take you three or four times as long... like it wasn't good enough now, but it was more powerful than ever! I painted Huib's work shed, just took a picture first, then painted. And Jackie Annerieke's house, with part of the vegetable garden and that beautiful chicken coop. Ah, it's just great..."
Maurice suddenly remembered what he had done when Lisa started playing the violin. "I just recorded your music. Do you want to copy it onto your computer?"
"Oh really? I thought after playing, I was sorry I hadn't thought of recording!" exclaimed Lisa.
Sjaak laughed: "I'm glad too, already had the same kind of thoughts as Lisa. Let's see, what kind of mobile do you have? Aha, Lisa's cord will fit that."
He took it out of the drawer of his desk and connected the mobile to his computer. In seconds, the file was copied.
"If the sound is good, count on us to make a clip of that! But on a completely different note, my stomach pretty much agrees with the computer's clock... are you staying here for lunch? Or did you have other plans?"
"Yes, other plans, we were going to eat with Bianca in the guesthouse kitchen this week, as long as she still lives here."
"Do you expect her to move in with Karel soon?"
"Next weekend at the latest. She is guiding Janneke in the work now, so she can take over in no time," Jacqueline said.
"Fine for both of them. Bianca will find that once she lives with Karel, it will help her in her process. Like Sjaak and Huib, Karel is quite powerful, so I expect he will be able to support her well."
"Definitely! Well, then we'll go back. And no, don't thank us, there's no need for that, for us it was a piece of fulfilment of our deep desire! And beyond that, it was just good to get to know and be with you. Yes, it was nice, wasn't it Jackie?"
Jacqueline looked up at him fondly, "Absolutely!"
.
On the way to the guesthouse, Maurice immediately took the opportunity to call Johan. He got Marieke on the phone and explained to her who he was and who he had gotten their phone number from.
"Lisa showed us how there are all kinds of lines running from Bloemenhof, soul lines, which empower each other. For a similar reason, we are now spending a week here in the guesthouse of Bloemenhof, for holidays, but mostly to empower the residents and guests of Bloemenhof and all these different groups connected to them. We've already been enjoying ourselves, at the guesthouse and just now at Lisa's. And we would love to visit you on Saturday afternoon, to empower you in the work you do from your souls, and by that I mean primarily Johan and that lawyer... uhm Ellen or Elly...? Okay, Ellen so. But if I understand correctly, you belong to Johan, so it's not only about Johan and Ellen, but also about you. What do you think, can we arrange that?"
Marieke responded immediately, feeling deep inside how strong Maurice's power was just through the phone. "We have an appointment for Saturday afternoon, but I'm going to cancel it on the spot. I feel what's going on, around what you're saying, and I really want to be part of that. What time can you be here? An hour or two? Good... and will you join us for dinner in the evening?"
"I haven't thought about that yet..."
"Never mind, I'll make something easy, something we can eat again the following day if you guys should decide to leave before dinner. Then we'll see about that on Saturday afternoon. And I'll call Ellen in a moment and insist that she absolutely must come!"
"Good, then you will see us show up around two o'clock! And um... you remind me of butterflies. Well, we'll see on Saturday if that's true."
Marieke laughed: "It's absolutely right, on Saturday I'll tell you more about it if you like."
"Yes, I really do, I'm curious! Well Butterfly, see you on Saturday then!"
