Elly was back at work early in the nursery, so she would be able to take advantage of all the hours of natural light. Today it was the turn of the somewhat smaller birds, and if she had enough time, she would also paint a few butterflies.
Margreet, meanwhile, was busy in the guesthouse taking care of the guest rooms and bathrooms. She was looking forward to starting her embroidery soon. At the same time, she also found it exciting. She had never done anything like this before, and didn't quite know how to begin.
After work she walked home. There she found Huib behind the computer. She looked over his shoulder. He was sorting out the pictures of his work. He chose the most beautiful ones and downloaded them on the computer. All other photos he deleted on his mobile, so that he would also keep an overview of only the most beautiful photos on his mobile.
"It's quite a job," he muttered to Margreet, "but it's fun. I'm not going to download those butt pictures onto the PC, but I will leave them on my mobile. Just a nice reminder!" He smiled at Margreet and pulled her to him for a moment to give her a kiss.
"Have I told you yet that you are beautiful?"
"No..." said Margreet with a played disappointed face.
"Have I told you yet that you are my dearest?"
"No..."
"Have I told you that I love you very much?"
"No..."
Huib stood up and made gestures with both his hands as if he were whipping himself on the back. "Bad Huib, stupid Huib!"
Then, with a big grin, he pulled her against him. "You're the most beautiful and the sweetest woman, and because of you I'm the luckiest man in the whole world. Oh, I love you so much!" He hugged her, pressing kisses to her face and into her hair.
Margreet responded by pressing herself firmly against him in an intimate embrace. "And you... you are the most beautiful, the sweetest, the most handsome man and that's why I feel like the luckiest woman. I sweet you!"
"How do you say that, that last one?" asked Huib in surprise.
"I sweet you ... I don't know, I guess it's not good language, but it came to me like that and I liked it."
"Me too," Huib agreed, "from your mouth it sounds not only nice, but intense, so truly heartfelt... I sweet you too!"
He kissed her again.
"And what were you planning to do with the rest of your free time this morning?"
"I feel like starting that tapestry, but it also scares me! I've never done anything like that before, creatively embroidering on a large piece of cloth. While working, I had already figured out that I wanted to start with the thinner threads. And then later put the thicker threads on top and secure them with sewing thread. I think, I should just start, otherwise I'll start thinking too much."
"Good plan Gretel-the-Sweetel, then I'll continue setting up the website."
Huib gave her a friendly pat on the buttocks and wanted to turn around, but Margreet pulled him back.
"What did you say! Gretel-the-Sweetel?"
"Hmm," Huib hummed, "you are my Sweetel, my Sweety."
"So it was true, I did understand you right after all! You really are a goofball!" responded Margreet, laughing.
"Goofhuib..." Huib had the final word. Laughing, they parted ways and got to work.
