Chapter 86.

Power of the soul

Before it got dark, Maurice brought his painting inside. He put it in the bedroom against the front of the wardrobe and put his tablet with the picture next to it. He looked from one to the other.

"How do you like the result, Jackie?" he asked.

She came and sat next to him on the edge of the bed and looked at it.

"It's crazy, but I never thought I would like this so much. It's not exact, but it's just right. Nicely cryptic," she laughed. "I mean it, it's exactly right, it's beautiful."

Jacqueline carefully pulled her drawing from the sketchpad and put it next to it with her tablet as well. Together they enjoyed the great change that had taken place in their drawing and painting. Freedom, so much more freedom! And they longed for more...

.

They were well in time for the meal in the dining room.

"Shall we just sit down?"

"Just do it," said Annerieke, who just came in with a big bowl of salad. A young woman, came in behind her with a similar bowl, with a slightly different salad. Annerieke washed her hands in the corner behind a curtain and dried them well. Then she approached Maurice and Jacqueline.

"Good day, that really never happens to me now, that there are new guests that I haven't welcomed and shown around myself," she said. "Maurice and Jacqueline, Karel's parents... welcome to Bloemenhof. I am Annerieke, your hostess, cook and baker. And this young lady, Janneke, is since today our new assistant in the kitchen. She is going to take over Bianca's work."

Janneke also shook hands with the guests, and took a step back, as if to hide behind Annerieke.

"Bianca showed us everything and told us all sorts of things. And I think we've already found our feet. You have a beautiful guesthouse, simple but with a lovely atmosphere. What did you call it again Jackie? A lovely light atmosphere, right?"

Jacqueline nodded: "Right, it feels very light here, a good place to be!"

"That's nice to hear! Did Bianca also mention that there is coffee and tea in the living room every evening around eight o'clock?"

"Yes indeed, with pastries, baked by you, if I understood correctly," Maurice said. "You bet we'll be there!"

"Nice! The other guests aren't here yet, but basically everything for the meal is already ready, so if you guys feel like it, get started."

"Is the guesthouse full this week?" asked Jacqueline.

"Yes, all the rooms are occupied, but three couples were going to eat at a restaurant tonight. So with dinner, only Bob and Anneke will be here."

Maurice nodded: "We have already met them. We were sitting behind the guesthouse painting and drawing, which we like to do. And when we finished, it turned out they had been behind us for about half an hour, had been watching us work."

"Oh really? How funny! And what did you paint and draw?"

"I painted Huib's work shed, and Jackie drew your house with a piece of the vegetable garden and that big chicken coop. What a mighty big thing hey, ideal! And clever, that double wall, that way no predator can ever get to your chickens!"

"That's why it was made that way. And high, so I can almost stand upright in it."

"Handy! What do you think, Jackie, shall we have a bite to eat?"

Jacqueline looked up slightly startled. "Huh? Oh yes, sorry, I was miles away with my thoughts. Not very thoughtful, but every now and then I have that. Then I feel someone's pain, and then sometimes it happens that I broadly see what happened, causing that pain." She held out her hand to Janneke, who put her own hand in it in despair. "So many years, all the way from your teenage years... girl, how incredibly cool that you're out of it now, that you're free. But they have broken you, so incredibly broken. I am happy for you that you have found your place here. This is a place of healing, of healing from within, healing from all that has been destroyed around your soul, around your whole being. It is going to be okay, Janneke, but you will have to go through a lot of pain. Let it be an encouragement to you that those periods of pain are not the end, but rather the beginning of your real life, of a life as you are. Your real self will emerge. You will start to discover what really suits you, what will emerge from your soul. The people here at Bloemenhof know what I am talking about, so if you have any questions... we ourselves will be here until Saturday morning, and after that you can always ask the residents here too."

Jacqueline sighed deeply, released Janneke's hand and lowered her head with her eyes closed.

Maurice smiled at Janneke. "Don't be alarmed by this, she collapses for a few seconds, but resurfaces in no time! A lot of power has flowed from her soul to your soul, it costs her a lot, but her soul recovers quickly, so don't worry about that. Ah look, there she is already again."

Jacqueline smiled at Janneke. "I hope I didn't scare you too much. To be honest, it took me quite by surprise. It was stronger than before. We went through another bit of healing ourselves last weekend, and then that power from within to others also gets stronger, then I feel better, sharper, impressions become clearer and my soul radiates even more power than I was already used to. It feels as if everything has gone up a notch higher and harder, and that takes some getting used to, but it's good. You could use a little extra, Janneke, you need it hard enough!"

As she spoke, tears came to Janneke's eyes. Annerieke put a hand on her shoulder. Even though she was already used to a lot in terms of soul power, this was overwhelming for herself too.

"Janneke, can you tell what is happening inside you right now?" she asked.

"Yes, but it's very weird, I'll tell you that. I also feel very weird, like I have a pudding in my head, such a shaky pudding. My brain is bobbing back and forth. I feel kind of dizzy, but I'm not really dizzy. And what I just felt, after you pronounced those first things about me, that was so strange. Like strings, which had been attached to the inside of my skull, like they were being gently pulled loose. I felt it shoot loose, it was a tiny bit painful, but it was also over immediately with every twinge of pain. And those wires, they were pulled loose through my skull."

Meanwhile, Bob and Anneke had come in and sat down at the table. They looked somewhat surprised at the new guests, those artists, talking to Annerieke and that new woman.

"Shall we start serving food?" whispered Anneke to her husband, "otherwise it's like bugging them."

They got up and walked to the buffet. "Oh yes, the other guests wouldn't be here tonight. I thought, what little is there today," Anneke chuckled. "It looks delicious again, though. I think I'll have a bit of both salads."

"Me too, nice to compare," Bob responded.

Meanwhile, the conversation between Janneke and Jacqueline continued.

"I understand you think it's weird, but for us nothing is too weird. Those threads have to do with that first man. He trapped you. Not only with what he did, but also with his words. Come a little closer, this is just for you. He commanded you to be silent, manipulated you with the threat of death. May I hold both your hands for just a moment?"

Janneke put her hands in Jacqueline's hands. "He threatened to kill you if you told anyone what he did to you. And that put you in a mental prison. There are more prisons like that, you have been trapped in more, but this prison is the biggest, the most threatening. This is a matter of life or death. And death has ruled over you long enough, and so has the fear of death. All the ties that were formed with that first man, all those ropes he mentally fastened in your mind, a few of them have just jumped loose, and the rest of them are going too, the rest of them are also going loose, are going completely loose. You go from death to life. You don't have to die, Janneke, you can live, really live. Those threads of death..."

Annerieke and Maurice watched what was happening tensely. They both felt it was good, despite not knowing it this way. Annerieke stayed diagonally behind Janneke, feeling that she would soon crash like this. But the opposite happened. Janneke felt an intensely warm stream flowing from Jacqueline's hands through her hands into her body. Her eyes grew big and her mouth fell open in amazement. She looked at her arms, at her torso and her legs. Suddenly she threw her head back, looked up and beamed! And as Jacqueline slid off her chair and lost her grip on Janneke's hands, Janneke whispered radiantly, "I'm alive! Yes, I'm alive!"

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she continued beaming. It was as if light was emanating from her! She looked at her hands, wondering if they were enchanted. They tingled. And in her head, she felt threads loosening again, little jolts of pain. She felt them being pulled through her head, disappearing from her head. She put her hands on her head and whispered, still crying and beaming, "They are gone, they are gone! I'm alive!"

While Annerieke watched Janneke, Maurice had sat down on the floor with Jacqueline. She did not look like she had hurt herself, and she was breathing calmly. Her hands felt icy cold, but her face, torso and legs were at normal temperature. Maurice grabbed her hands, focusing on them. He felt power emanating from his own soul to her. It did not take long, therefore, for her to blink and immediately want to get up.

"Just take it easy," Maurice said, "you gave so much, you sort of passed out for a while."

"You say that well," she said, staying still for a while, "sort of passed out. I wasn't really unconscious, but seemed completely powerless. But I heard Janneke talking, and it sounded pretty damn good! You've made my day, young lady!"

Carefully, Jacqueline rolled onto her side and rose to her feet, leaning on her hands. Maurice stayed focused on her to catch her if needed, and to consciously radiate at her.

"Yes Maurice, we are a beautiful couple together. I radiate, go down, and you radiate at me and I get back up. This is how it goes, this is how it gets better! And you, Janneke, how do you feel in the meantime?"

"It's really gone, I feel I'm alive. I also still feel a lot of uncertainty, and all sorts of things I can't grasp yet, something like that. But I am alive, I am no longer under that man's curse, no longer under his manipulation, no longer under his death threats. I am free of it! I felt life flowing into me, the coldness that was always there is gone. And that's not just physical coldness, it's also what I always felt emotionally, like I was empty, like I was half-dead. Yes, I was, mentally or emotionally I was dead. But not anymore, I can feel now, I can feel that insecurity, and that's not nice. And I feel there's more that's not right yet, things that don't feel nice, but I'm happy to feel them. It's good, it's really good. Can I really join you this week if I need to?"

"Very much so," Jacqueline said. "We are here for a reason, not just for our own pleasure. It feels like you guys from Bloemenhof and us will get to work bang hard together for a week. Can you do something with that thought, Annerieke?"

"Joh, I don't know it that way, not even what you just did to Janneke, but it feels so good. I do know, though, that a lot is happening from Bloemenhof, and I think it's super nice that you guys are coming to us now, from the outside, to support us, help us further... I don't know exactly, what all, but I'm glad you're here and I'm looking forward to what's going to happen this week!"

.

Maurice and Jacqueline enjoyed the fresh, well-filled salad and the sweet pudding for dessert.

"It's a good thing the pudding is small, otherwise I wouldn't feel like pie tonight," Jacqueline said.

"The same with me," Maurice said, "and I can have quite a lot anyway! Do you know what I feel like doing tonight? To go through that digital gallery from start to finish, to get a taste of how far along those artists are, and in the meantime we'll probably be radiating at those people quite a bit."

Jacqueline chuckled: "We look like volcanoes..."

"Look like? We ARE volcanoes! It was wonderful what just happened in Janneke."

.

In the living room of the guesthouse, guests sat talking to each other. The three couples who had eaten at a restaurant had returned and were scrolling on their mobiles.

Maurice smiled: "That's the modern way of bulging out, don't you think?"

"Probably, shall we do it too? Look up that gallery?"

They had already taken out their tablets from upstairs and were looking for the website. As they were used to, they were guided by their inner self, which this time meant going down all the pages one by one and going through them thoroughly.

"Nice name for the gallery, 'Art, the expression of our soul', and nicely described, their vision and way of working..." murmured Maurice.

Jacqueline hummed affirmatively and clicked through to 'Our Artists'.

Their gentle responses to various artworks caught Bob and Anneke's attention. They stretched their necks to watch along. Maurice soon caught on and asked if they would enjoy looking together. At their enthusiastic response, he looked at the big screen.

Bob saw it and responded, "That is always used for a photo series, which is then played from here... let's see, maybe we can disconnect it. Do you have a cord from your tablet that we can connect to this monitor?"

Maurice took one out of the sleeve of his tablet. "Always at hand!" he laughed.

Bob connected the two devices, so they could see what Maurice clicked on the tablet in large on the monitor.

"That's Huib's woodwork, look, those umbrella stands in the hallway, how nice," there were whispers behind them. The pictures had caught the attention of everyone present. Jacqueline and Maurice felt, the radiance of their souls increased. They experienced looking at the various artworks as a welcome distraction, a diversion that allowed them to keep up the heaviness of radiating well.

Quietly, they went through the works of all the artists. The guests were touched by different objects, some by one, others by another.

Maurice and Jacqueline did not have to say anything, they went from work of art to work of art, enjoying it and strengthening the artists and the guests present by their soul power.

Annerieke and Janneke entered, provided everyone with cake and stayed to watch for a while. Janneke did not react audibly, but internally felt all kinds of stirring. Annerieke experienced the power emanating from the works of art, experienced it more strongly than previous times when she had sat looking at it. Stronger, she felt, understood that it was because of Maurice and Jacqueline's presence.

She smiled and whispered, "I'm going to ask Bianca if she also feels like having her coffee here, I'll be right back."

Not much later, the three ladies slid in. Bianca also felt the big difference, and whispered to Annerieke: "I've never experienced it like this before, so much power emanates from the artworks, how can that be?"

"Because of Jacqueline and Maurice's presence, the power of their soul radiates to us here in the living room, and also to the artists of the works. So you get double portion tonight," she chuckled as the first doll dress appeared on the screen. A murmur went through the group of guests.

"That's something different from the doll dresses from the toy shop..."

"Well, it really is! How beautiful!"

"So delicate, so special!"

Jacqueline turned to Bianca and winked at her.
