In Jansen Junior's house Elly had continued painting, while Huib worked on the website behind his computer. Huib had thought of making collages per piece of work he had made. He added pictures of the whole piece together into a collage, so that the piece was visible from different sides. For a second collage of the same workpiece he added photos of details together. He placed them on the website in the page 'Huib's woodwork' and added a short text describing the work in question.
None of these pieces were meant to be sold. Therefore Huib decided to divide his page into two sub-pages. The first he called 'Sold', the second 'For Sale'. He moved his text and collages from his first piece of work to the 'Sold' sub-page.
He wondered where he would want to put his business email address. He tried to envision how people would view the website. Most people would arrive at 'Home', where he wanted to write a bit about how they work and would redirect to the three personal pages. He wrote down on paper, that in addition to their working methods, he had to make a reference to the personal pages at 'Home'. He decided it would be handy to also mention at ‘Home’ that each personal page mentioned the contact possibilities.
Suppose that person would then proceed to his personal page. There the break-up 'Sold' and 'For sale' would become visible. He decided it would be handy to start with the business email address that belonged to that page. And also a small piece of text about making contact for more information, a purchase, an order, a request. Maybe Margreet and Elly should write such a piece of text themselves. He wrote it all down as working points.
Suddenly it occurred to him that with Elly’s page it would have to be different. Elly didn't need a split of pages, because she would only put collages of photos of completed work on her page, with her piece of text at the top, an invitation to view her work and her email address to ask her questions. That's what it would be like... He added to his work list: Elly's page not to be split up!
Huib sighed... coming up with the right set-up was more complicated than he had thought! Well, it didn't have to be perfect at once either. The site wasn't online yet anyway, and modifying things he didn't like was super simple.
He sighed again and went back to work, finishing the layout of Margreet's page and then continuing with his collages.
While he had been fiddling with the layout, Margreet had come home. She had been watching Huib for a while. She gave him a hug and encouraged him: "You are doing so well man, I am proud of you. This is the first time you've done something like this, and look at you... somehow you're overseeing the whole thing, overseeing what's needed."
"True yes, although I have to say that I had a bit of a hard time just laying out everyone's personal page. With hindsight I think that was just my feeling, the feeling that I didn't know what to do anymore, that I couldn't oversee it all. Take Elly's page for example, it is different from ours. I suddenly found it so complicated. I seemed to have lost the overview. But I think it was no more than my feelings, deep down it's quite simple."
Huib smiled at her, "Are you going to continue with your tapestry again?"
"No, I'm going to knit. Somewhere I feel more like finishing my vest so that I can then focus entirely on that tapestry."
Huib nodded: "I get it, that tapestry really has your heart, knitting only part of it. Just do what you've thought of, soon enough there will be other garments you want to make as well, so you can vary again. You won't be bored lady!"
"Bored? I don't have time for that at all!" Margreet laughed and went to the kitchen, asking Huib if he would like some coffee or tea.
"Yes, I do feel like coffee. Wait, you go ahead and knit, you don't have that much time before you go back to work at the guesthouse. I'll take care of that coffee. You surely want tea?"
"Yes, rather tea, that rooibos cinnamon, it always makes me so warm inside. Thank you sweetie!" She gave him a kiss and walked over to her rocking chair. She picked up her knitting and went to work feeling wonderfully satisfied.
In the meantime Huib took care of coffee and tea, went upstairs to ask Elly if she wanted something to drink and arranged it for her. He had the opportunity to watch the progress of the mural, but didn't say more than strictly necessary, because he saw that Elly was very concentrated.
He walked back downstairs, and continued to assemble his photos into collages.
