Johan, Marieke, Ellen, and Alexander got good contacts with Tanja and Nancy and their parents. When Rachel discovered who these people were, she was open to them about her own experiences in her adolescence. She discovered during that week, that she no longer felt guilty about her father being in prison. And through Johan's story of that surge of emotional healing around the world, she wondered aloud what it would be like for her father, if he noticed any of that, too.

Johan put his hand on her shoulder in a friendly way, "Right now, as you think about him, your soul is radiating power to him. It works that simply. And with that, you are helping him one more step."

"Do you long for your father?" asked Marieke.

Rachel shook her head, "No, not at all, I never had a connection with him. But I do wonder now how all this will work out, what effect it will have on him and how it will be with him, if he has changed, things like that. In that respect, I would like to sneak a peek around a corner. But contact, no, for me that's not necessary. Maybe later..."

At that moment Tanja and Nancy came storming in with enthusiastic stories about the start of the shelter: "You can already see exactly where the four houses will be and the big living room in the middle. They have already put in the floor. It looks so nice, like a four-leaf clover!"

The happy girls took the adults to the construction site and everyone was pleasantly surprised at what they found there.

That vacation week was some time in the past. New guests had taken their place.

The extension to the house of Huib and Margreet was completed, after which their builders continued with the big project at the back of the estate. They enjoyed it, and regularly showed that to the permanent residents.

By the end of January the renovation of Sjaak and Lisa's house was finished. They were so happy with the result and started in good spirits with wallpapering, laying a wooden floor and furnishing the upper floor.

When they moved the bed they were spontaneously offered help by a couple of construction workers. These guys turned out to have not only strength, but also insight. Lisa's idea of curling up the mattress with straps was firmly rejected.

"That's not good for the mattress, Lisa, and it's not necessary, really, we can get that big mattress up that way too!"

And they were right, they lined up like a group of soldiers above, beside and below the mattress when they reached the stairs and, with even movements, they dragged it up step by step. And without much effort they laid it exactly in the frame of the bed, their new bed, made by Huib.

Huib had prioritized doing this job on his schedule, so that they wouldn't have to put the old bed in their bedroom first and have to replace it again a few weeks later. Now everything was done at once.

Huib told during the coffee, that he was allowed to also make a bed for Johan and Marieke. He already had a pretty good idea of what it would look like and had shared that with Johan and Marieke. Their reaction had been so nice! The idea that he would form flowers and butterflies on the footboard had moved them so much.

They had never told him, how big the place in Marieke's heart was for flowers and butterflies and how the renewal of their relationship had started with a special bouquet of colorful flowers and a butterfly of ribbons on top.

Without a moment's hesitation they gave him permission to follow his heart and make such a beautiful bed for them.
