The newspapers for the guesthouse were always delivered early in the morning. Annerieke was used to putting them in the living room for their guests. This time, however, the picture on the front page caught her eye: Lisa, with Johan and Ellen on either side.
Annerieke saw that the same or similar pictures were also on the front pages of all the other newspapers and decided to take them all to the kitchen. Simon saw her come in with it and asked her in surprise if there was anything special in the newspapers.
"Look for yourself, dear, then I'll quickly continue preparing breakfast, maybe I can read the article before the young ones come in," Annerieke replied.
"Let's do it together, that breakfast," Simon said, grabbing what Annerieke put down on the corner of the table to take it to the guests' dining room.
A moment later, as they unfolded a newspaper together, the kitchen door flew open and the youngsters entered. The merriment splashed off!
"Well, well, dad and mum on the newspaper early in the morning?" expressed Huib his surprise. "Ow wait, look at that! That's about you, Lisa, you're on the front page!"
"Exactly, and really on all the papers that have come in here," replied Annerieke. "I took them all to the kitchen, I was so curious! For this time, the guests will just have to be patient!"
They all grabbed a newspaper and read the various reports, while the coffee pot went around. The processes were really well repicted. Many of the sentences they recognized, because they had literally been said that way.
"You can’t get a pin in between!" thought Sjaak. "They really did a nice job with that, and that picture is nice too, Lisa. Can't we order an extra copy of all those papers to keep? If you want, Lisa, you can make it a kind of scrapbook."
"That's actually quite a good idea. Then I'll keep other similar articles from now on."
"Put it in a multi-folder," suggested Margreet, "then you can always add pages to it."
"Clever plan! When the work upstairs is done, I'm going to order those newspapers. What newspapers do we all have Annerieke?"
Annerieke started to list a whole row, but then thought, Lisa could also look on the Internet. "They're putting their articles on the internet more and more, maybe you can print them from there."
Lisa nodded, thinking, "You could do that too, but I think I'd like it even more if I could actually cut them out of the newspaper. I'm going to try to reach out to those publishers soon."
While they were talking about it, Margreet was searching the Internet for the article. To her surprise, she even came across it on Twitter. Video recordings were shared of yesterday, of the meeting in which Johan made his statement. Those recordings were shared by many other people.
Margreet told that she tried something new: she placed a search request, both on Twitter and on Facebook. She noticed that there was already an unbelievable row of notifications posted, already now, one day after the verdict!
She told Lisa, who recently had accounts on Twitter and Facebook, what search she had done. "If you want, you can also post them on your own profile. Or else just keep them on your laptop."
"What possibilities!" sighed Lisa. "I'll think about it, if I want them on those accounts too. No, I don't need to think about that. They're positive messages, where so much power radiates... I'm going to put them on there! The world needs to know!"
Simon smiled happily at her. He folded up all the newspapers again and brought them in a pile to the guests' living room.
