Mark and Greet, and Cees and Sita were already talking to each other long before Huib started the music. Sjaak, Anton and Joke kept Huib company and Margreet and Lisa sat together in a corner enjoying the pleasant afternoon they had had.

Lisa also brought up her early relationship with Sjaak. "I never thought, that he had so much real peace in him. The way he can listen. Do you know that he likes to sit around daydreaming? Musing, that’s how he called it. He doesn't let himself be rushed, I like that." Lisa looked fondly at the man on the other side of the room, where he was standing with Huib bent over the music list. Her heart went out to him, she longed for him.

"Actually, I would prefer to move in with him already, but..." She stopped, with a deep frown above her eyes. "Then I would..." Again she stopped. "Ah, never mind, will come."

"What's bothering you Lisa? Can I help you?" Margreet asked.

Lisa shook her head. "No, I don't think so, this is really something I have to go through myself, and together with Sjaak. Don't worry, it will be fine."

She nodded smiling at her girlfriend, trying to convince her and herself that it would really be all right. But in her heart, doubts grew like a terrifying mass of swamp plants....

And Huib, before he let Joe Cocker start singing, asked Margreet from his DJ-place to dance: "Margreet, my dear, the next song is especially for you! And for everyone else here..." he added with a grin.

He put the song on repeat, started it and went over to her. He put both his hands on her hips, then she folded her hands together behind his neck. Huib looked deep into her eyes. They moved along to the music.

As soon as Joe Cocker started the song, Huib and Sjaak began to sing along softly, looking deeply into their lovers' eyes. The other couples, all on the dance floor, looked surprised at both men. Anton was immediately ignited by the love in their voices, and also started to sing along while dancing with Joke. And a few words later, the voices of Mark and Cees also mingled in the singing. As if it was agreed upon, each singing man looked into the eyes of his partner, and sang the song from his heart for her. And no woman's eye stayed dry....

None of them had noticed, that Annerieke had come in from the kitchen to listen and watch. Although she missed Erik's presence so much at a moment like this, she enjoyed the miracle of love here before her eyes!

Only Annerieke had noticed, that also the connecting door to the living room had opened softly, and Margreet's parents were peeking around the corner. After a while it sounded fierce, but soft from Mieke's mouth: "Ridiculous, downright ridiculous!"

Except for Annerieke nobody noticed it, because all couples were completely absorbed in each other. And Annerieke decided to keep it to herself.
