Together, they walked to Lisa's house first, to see if she was alone and wanted to walk with them. That turned out not to be the case. Lisa and Sjaak just came out together. They greeted each other cheerfully, and Lisa told them that she had received a text message from Ellen about the judge.

Halfway through her sentence she stopped: "Never mind, I'll tell the group about it in a minute. That text message has to do with Ellen and Marieke's visit last night. It was a special evening, but I'll tell that too later, when Annerieke and maybe Simon are present."

As it turned out, Simon was indeed present. He had deliberately taken a day off, just doing a final check for the rebuilding that would start tomorrow. And all the materials for the first few weeks would be delivered today.

Lisa took the floor and briefly told about Ellen and Marieke's visit. "Those two have a nice bond, they have been friends in college, haven't seen each other for years, but the bond is like old times now I think. Marieke is going to organize the security, for this whole area. And she reminded Ellen of a friend from their first year of study. That man has become a judge and they were in complete agreement that that man would be perfect for our trial.

This morning Ellen sent a text message saying she had already spoken to him. Today they will have lunch together at a restaurant and she will tell him what is going on and ask him if he could help us."

At that moment Simon received a phone call, an unknown number. A moment later they heard him say, "Marieke from security? Lisa was just telling me about your visit last night. Tell me, what can I do for you?"

He listened to her for a moment and then suggested to join them for lunch this afternoon, "Then you can get to know the whole club here and fire all the questions you want at us. Does that sound like a good idea to you?" Marieke appeared to think it was a great idea and promised to be there for lunch.

"You're okay with that, right, Anne?" he asked suddenly uncertain.

"Of course darling, your work crew will be welcome here too from tomorrow won't they? I'll make sure there's some extra food ready at lunch."

Simon nodded, "Yes, I knew it somewhere, but I'm not used to consulting with a partner in private yet. Marieke would like to get to know all of us. She will have to know for her work what kind of meat she has in the cockpit!"
